Humanity believes itself to be invincible and superior to every other form of life on earth. We are so sure we are the most superior species that a majority of us tends to feel that it is not possible for any other intelligent being to exist. In fact, we actively attempt to persuade ourselves that we are alone in the universe.
This is the ultimate in stupidity, while either other life or beings have not been located or found to exist (positively) they could and to disregard the possibility based on just our observations is the height of arrogance. Observations are subjective to each beings separate view of the moment. These can change from being to being, and (to prove this point) there is a very easy test to perform. Set a picture with a logo and numbers in front of two people; let them look at it for 30 seconds. Take away the picture, and ask them what the first thing they saw was.
Now ask them to write down a small description of this picture.
Without fail, it will vary sometimes in very large ways (the descriptions) however; it will still be the picture. Each ones perception of this picture varies.
You see perception is the reality. We perceive our own greatness and superiority and there fore we are. This however still must be proved true.
Especially here, we find that humanity is convinced of their superiority and reliant on their abilities. However we fail daily in mundane tasks and die horrible deaths, killing each other and being killed for what really boils down to no reason.
Why could such an intelligent, and noble creature as man, be so mundane and seemingly stupid?
What are the reasons we (being so intelligent and obviously better than any other species) are so prone to violence, and self-destructive behaviors?
Why is it that with all our brilliance and vast intelligence (compared to other species) that we are still prone to sickness? Why is it that people still die during pregnancy? Why do we still allow ourselves to become addicted to drugs, alcohol, etc? What is it about humanity that is so strong and yet so weak?
We are sheep. We are egotistical self-absorbed sheep.
We follow anything and anyone that provides us a greater cause, possibility of a better life, or fulfillment.
We still think we are singularly the greatest beings ever, and yet follow everything and anything because its there.
The sheep crisis is an ongoing and animal characteristic. Animals tend to follow other leader animals, and when to many leader animals are, they fight and leave less leader animals. This is humanity as well. We are taught free will, choice, and freedoms. We are never told that everything we follow someone else wrote, and might be wrong.
Our willingness to believe we are superior is nothing but false hope in our own strengths. When it comes down to it, we really have no real strength, other than our ability to verbalize our feelings, an opposable thumb, and our supposed “souls.”
I believe we are the same as sheep.
What do you think?
