Zrii Juice the New “New Age” Drink on the Market

by yup tab

Created by combining the past and the present, a new health juice drink is being introduced to the market. Called Zrii Juice or Amalaki juice, this deep ruby red juice is not a “one-fruit wonder” but a powerful combination of both history and research.

Zrii is a Sanskrit word meaning light, luster, splendor and prosperity (Dictionary.com) and the practice of Ayurveda uses a combination of foods, juices and spices to help promote a healthy mind, body and spirit; thus, Zrii enlivens the tongue with its unique fruity taste which is the hallmark of the juice’s healing capabilities (www.zrii.com)

Because of the combinations of fruits, this juice can help the body in more ways than just satisfying a thirst. Zrii juice claims it can help with digestion, lifting mood and spirit, antioxidant protection and increase energy as well as a host of others. But what makes this drink different from others on the market? It does not rely on just one fruit to give the juice its benefits, but uses a combination that has been used by the ayurveda practice for centuries. These fruits include:

Amalaki: Which is a member of the currant family (distant off shoot of the grape) and has ten times the amount of Vitamin C that an orange has.

Haritaki: Looks like a star fruit, but is a member of the drupe family (peach). Because of its antiseptic and antibacterial properties, ayurveda medicine has used this fruit to help heal. It is also known for its calming properties.

Jujube: (not the candy that sticks to your teeth) It is also known as the Red date or Chinese date. This is the second most harvested fruit in the Southern Israel region. It is known for stress releasing properties as well as clearing up one’s skin.

Schizandra: A small berry bush that is also known in Asian regions as the Fruit of Five Flavors. Each bunch of five berries have the tastes that are revered in Asian regions, that being sour, sweet, bitter, spicy and salty. These berries help improve stamina and increases mental performance as well as relieving stress and fatigue.

Tusli: This is not a fruit but rather an herb. It is known as Holy Basil. This deep green to purple leafy plant is often compared to clove in flavor. Helps reduces headaches as well as depression and stress. This plant is also an antioxidant.

Unfortunately, this juice is not mass produced and can only be purchased through online shops such as www.enjoyamalakijuice.com and www.zrii.com. As the juice becomes more popular, it may make its way to local shops such as Henry’s or Whole Foods or even Trader Joe’s. As with any herbal supplement, it is a wise choice to check with your doctor or herbalist to make sure that you are able to use such a supplement without endangering your body.
